He is now an Emeritus Professor of Dentistry at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry U.S.C. in Los Angeles where he joined the staff in 1973 and retired from full-time teaching in 2013. Dr. Malamed has authored more than 160 scientific papers, 17 chapters in various medical and dental journals and textbooks and has authored 3 textbooks and 2 interactive DVDs in the areas of physical evaluation, emergency medicine, local and general anesthesia and sedation.
