"Puertas" is a completely integrated first-year Spanish programme consisting of three carefully co-ordinated paperback components - a grammar text, and two readers,a cultural reader, and an activities manual. The components are coordinated thematically, grammatically, and by vocabulary focus, making them easy to use in any combination. This text is a brief first-year grammar text within the component series of the same name. It is divided into fifteen units of two to three grammar lessons each, coordinated by theme and vocabulary with two accompanying readers. Its organization is traditional with one exception - the early introduction of the subjunctive mood. The third edition features a new "Revista" section, new exercises and activities, and an improved package.
