He is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, holds Honors of the Association from the Louisiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association, a member of Alpha Eta Honor Society for Allied Health and Phi Kappa Phi. He has served as President, Editor and Chair of the Continuing Education Committee for the Louisiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Chair of the Communication Disorders and Sciences Leadership Group for states in Southern Region. He has co-authored with Dr. Pannbacker a chapter in a textbook about ethics in research and has received over $1.4 million in external grants.Mary Pannbacker received a Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology from the State University of New York-Buffalo. She is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a recipient of the Service Award of the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association. She has served as President of the Louisiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association (LSHA). Currently, she serves as Legislative Councilor from Louisiana to ASHA and Editor of the LSHA Newsletter. She has published more than 100 articles and books, and presented more than 300 papers.Thomas W. Powell earned the Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Indiana University, with emphasis in phonological development and disorders. He is co-editor of Clinical Linguistics and Phonetics, which is the official journal of the International Clinical Phonetics and Linguistics Association. He has published widely on the nature, assessment, and treatment of speech production and language disorders.Gay T. Vekovius received the M.S. in Audiology from Vanderbilt University. She is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She has served as Chair of the Louisiana Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (LBERSPA), and as President of the Louisiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association (LSHA). She has served on several committees of ASHA as well as Legislative Councilor to ASHA from Louisiana. She has over 25 publications and has presented more than 90 papers.
