Each lesson in this book introduces new forms, syntax, and vocabulary followed by much drill and a variety of exercises on the new material. A special section entitled 'Word Study' deals with word derivations, meanings of prefixes and suffixes, explanation of roots, and gradual changes of meaning through the centuries. AT the conclusion of each lesson is a reading also based on the new material. After every fourth lesson there is a review lesson which includes all the new vocabulary and provides additional exercise material.
