About the AuthorHoni Bamberger was a classroom teacher before joining the faculty of Johns Hopkins University where she developed and piloted math the Success for All math curriculum project. Currently, Honi is the Executive Director of INSIGHT, a private center for research and professional development in mathematics education. She works with school districts across the country running workshops, working with students, and planning instruction with teachers. Honi lives in Columbia, Maryland.Patricia Hughes currently works as a first grade teacher in Montgomery County, Maryland. She has taught grades one through three. From 1996-1998 she took a leave of absence from the classroom to work for Johns Hopkins University to work in the Success For All Program developing math curricula at the primary levels. She currently speaks at both state and national mathematics conferences. Patricia lives in Germantown, Maryland.Glyphs are a surefire hit with kids!
