It has long been out of print, and even when republished it is beyond the economic reach of most students. Aleister Crowley is the major philosopher of the occult during the first half of the 20th century, and one of the world's great mystics. Israel Regardie, a former secretary of Crowley's, has written a biography of him (Eye in the Triangle, Llewellyn, 1971) and is in addition a respected student of the occult-a man, in short, perfectly suited to distill the essence of the Equinox.
