A word-and-picture book about Christmas to help children develop essential vocabulary.From School Library JournalPreSchool-This colorful book packs a lot of information into its small format, and is a bit jumbled as a result. It starts out naming various objects in Spanish and English (el globo de nieve-snow globe), then switches to whole sentences when discussing Santa Claus ("el llena una inmensa bolsa de regalos"-"He fills a big bag with presents"), then briefly becomes a counting book, and then a shape book. The photos are vivid, although those of Christmas trees and gaily lit street scenes are simply too small to allow children to see the details. A knowledge of Spanish pronunciation is assumed.-E.
