THE GREAT DECEPTION

Are you in spiritual darkness, blinded by a denominational stronghold, without even knowing it? That blindness begins for most of us shortly after our physical births. It sneaks up on us and takes hold the moment the rituals and rules of men take the place of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Heritage, tradition, and the spiritual blindness they create, as well as a lack of knowledge caused by our own failings and those of the people we trust, allow us to become victims of Satan's ploys rather than ambassadors for Christ. In this book, you will journey with me through my own Christian life, from my earliest recollections of Jesus through adulthood. It is truly a road of discovery that may very well echo many of your experiences-experiences that would eventually have led to my own spiritual death-and perhaps yours-and I didn't have a clue it was happening. By God's grace, though, my life took an unexpected turn that cleared the ritualistic roadblocks from my spiritual path. I pray that as you read the pages of this book, these roadblocks will also become visible to you and will be removed so the Holy Spirit can take His rightful place in your life. I must warn you, though. I won't make this journey toward God easy for you. It will, however, be life-changing, and it'll be worth it. GAIL TREBESCH OPPER graduated from the University of Michigan after spending two years at Capital University, a Lutheran university in Ohio. She taught both high school and adult education but is now enjoying retirement in Kentucky and Florida. Married and the mother of three children and two grandchildren, she enjoys water sports, singing in her church choirs, and changing, for the better, the lives of learning disabled children.
