A particular strength of the book is the author's very detailed description of the walks, the product of thirty years' walking experience in the Highlands and Islands. To complement the narrative there are superb 3dimensional maps of all 101 hills/mountains, drawn by one of Britain's leading mapmakers, Linda Dawes.
