Fascination with the end times is not just a recent phenomenon. The young church at Thessalonica, having taken root during Pauls brief stay there, pondered when the end might come as well. Paul, in order to instruct them more fully, wrote them two letters, which taken together expound the alreadyandnotyet character of the end times. His instruction and counsel can serve us well today. I was excited to get my hands on this commentary, but I was let down by the print quality. The pages felt thin and some text was hard to read. Content itself is okay but I expected better from IVP. Just not sure if I'll continue the series after this experience.

Good Resource, but Lacked Some Depth
While I found Volume 13 of the IVP New Testament Commentary Series informative, I expected a little more depth in certain sections. It’s great for basic understanding, but if you're looking for an extensive analysis, you might want to look elsewhere. Still, a decent read.
