Olivia LockhartGriffinCedar Cove, WashingtonDear Reader,Jack and I are just back from our honeymoon, and Im eager to catch up with my friends Bob and Peggy Beldon, who run the Thyme and Tide bedandbreakfast at 44 Cranberry Point. Its a popular place but (needless to say!) things havent been the same since a man died there. Turns out his name was Max Russell, and Bob had known him briefly in Vietnam. Nobody has any idea why he showed up ormost important of allwho killed him. Because it now appears that he was poisoned. I sure hope, especially for Bob and Peggys sake, that somebody figures it out soon! Not that theyre providing the only news in Cedar Cove these days. Romance seems to be everywhere among my family and friends. Im pleased to report that Grace Sherman has more than her share of interested men. Her daughter Maryellen is getting married to Jon Bowman. And my mother, Charlotte, seems to have a man in her life, too. Im not sure how I feel about that yet.Theres lots of other gossip I could tell you. Join me at Peggys place for a cup of tea and one of her fabulous blueberry muffins and well talk.Olivia

I was really looking forward to this novel, but it didn’t quite do it for me. Some parts felt slow, and it took a while to get into the main plot. Might just not be my style, but I expected more excitement based on the earlier books in the series.

Enjoyable, But a Bit Predictable
This Cedar Cove book was enjoyable, but I found some storylines predictable. The characters are well-developed, but I hoped for more surprises. Still, it’s a nice addition to the collection!

A Cozy Read for Rainy Days
I picked up the Cedar Cove novel as a gift for my mom, who loves this series. She finished it in just a few days and couldn't stop talking about the characters and their stories. The writing is so engaging; it feels like visiting old friends!
