In welcher Relation steht dabei das System Werbung zur gesellschaftlichen Wirklichkeit und der Wirklichkeit des Einzelnen? Die Autorin Verena Schtte klrt den Altersbegriff und fhrt in wesentliche Aspekte der Wirtschafts(print)werbung ein. Speziell wird das Verstndnis von Werbung aus einer systemtheoretischen Perspektive erlutert. Darauf aufbauend analysiert sie das Altersbild in Werbeanzeigen der Zeit um 1984 und 2004. Mit Hilfe diverser Datenquellen modelliert sie ein Bild der sozialen Wirklichkeit alter Menschen dieser Jahre und kommt dabei zu interessanten Ergebnissen bezglich Vernderungen im Altersbild und der Synchronisation von Werbung mit anderen Sozialsystemen.
