I was excited to read this book, but it honestly didn’t meet my expectations. The writing felt a bit disjointed, and some sections seemed rushed. I was hoping for more detailed insights into Cecilia's recipes and restaurants. It was okay, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

A Must-Read for Food Lovers
This book is a delightful journey into the life of Cecilia Chiang and her impact on Chinese cuisine in America. I found the stories behind each dish really fascinating, especially how she introduced authentic flavors that many people weren’t familiar with. Highly recommend for anyone who loves food and culture!

Interesting but Lacked Depth
While I enjoyed the anecdotes about Cecilia Chiang's life and her influence on Chinese dining, I felt the book missed some depth in detailing her recipes. It was a nice read but I expected more practical cooking tips or recipes to follow. Still, it gave me a great appreciation for her work!
