Product Description A Box of Chocolates is a collection of short stories that transports the reader into the lives of various individuals, trapped in different psychosocial situations, who require serendipity and a touch of the spiritual in order to obtain freedom. In the box are eighteen chocolates; each one carefully made, painstakingly wrapped and methodically packed. Each chocolate with a unique taste, each one representing a different story. In the box, sits a plethora of colours, a myriad of aspirations, a landscape of experiences. It travels across the fields of love, hatred, oppression, corruption, homosexuality, AIDS, rebellion, spiritualism, slavery, migration, life and ultimately death as it seeks to capture in one snapshot, the reality of the helplessness of mankind when confronted with the unpredictable nature of Fate. About the Author A graduate of the acclaimed Theatre Arts department of the University of Ibadan, alongside writing short and long prose, he has worked extensively in the film and theatre industry as a Director, Producer, Writer and Actor. Amongst others, he is the winner of the best screenplay AMAA award for his multiaward winning film 'The Tenant'. He also won the Goethe Institut Afrika Projekt competition and was a finalist in the New Directions Filmmakers of the future project by MNET. He directed the plays Flood, Brixton Stories and Lost in the Canadian theatre space to rave reviews. His plays, poems and short stories have been published and performed far and wide in various media, amongst which is his play 'COMA' which is currently being adapted for the screen. His most recent literary books are a collection of poetry 'Exotica Celestica' and a play 'Oduduwa King of the Edos' and a novel 'By My Own Hands'. He lives in Toronto, Canada.
