This Caldecott Honor book captures the fun and freedom of a week of summer vacation spent with a best friend and their grandparents, eating, laughing, and using lots of imagination. Seira Wilson, Amazon EditorWhen James and Eamon go to a week of Nature Camp and stay at Eamons grandparents house, it turns out that their free time spent staying inside, eating waffles, and playing video games is way more interesting than nature. But sometimes things work out best when they dont go exactly as planned. This Caldecott Honorwinning book is a moving and hilarious celebration of young boys, childhood friendships, and the power of the imagination, where Marla Frazee captures the very essence of summer vacation and what it means to be a kid.

My son loved this book. The adventures the boys go on sparked his imagination. However, I felt like some parts were a bit too quick. Still, a solid addition to our collection!

Perfect for Summer Reading
We took this book on our summer vacation, and it was perfect for the beach. The stories are fun and engaging for kids. My daughter couldn't put it down! Worth every penny!

A Little Disappointed
I had heard good things about this book, but when it arrived, I noticed a few pages were crumpled. The kids liked it, but I expected better quality. Just okay for us.

Not What I Expected
Honestly, I expected more from this book based on the title. The stories were cute, but some felt rushed and not fully developed. My kids enjoyed it, but I was hoping for a bit more depth. 3 out of 5 stars for me!

Cute Concept, But Lacks Depth
The idea behind 'the best week ever' is fun, but it felt a bit shallow in execution. My kids enjoyed it, but I wish the stories had more substance. I'm on the fence about recommending it.
