About the Author Dr. Milton Fischer was born in 1911 on the Lower East Side of New York, the son of Russian immigrants. His Dad was, at various times, an ironworker, carpenter, bartender, and store owner. His Mom was a seamstress in the famous Triangle Shirtwaist Factory, but left before the great fire to raise a family. Milton was the eldest of four children and took that responsibility seriouslychasing after Helen, Shirley and Herbie until they could outrun him. From a very early age his interests encompassed both science and art. He began writing poetry in the fourth grade. He was class poet at City College, and at age 88 he is still writing. He graduated from Northern Illinois Optometry School and began he practice in Waterbury, Connecticut. There he married Selma Weiss, the daughter of a leading optometric family, and together they had three beautiful daughters of their own. When Selma died, he wrote the series of poems entitled 'Vigil.' Milton now lives in Boca Raton, Florida with his second wife Harriet (who is the widow of a Rabbi) and between them they have seven grandchildren. Both are avid golfers and lead a very active life together. He continues to write poetry and sends funny emails. Product Description Fischer, Milton
