The advent of the web over the last two decades has resulted in the interest of organizations in different domains to use websites for facilitating their activities, both internal and external. Organizations seeking to obtain the best out of their websites need to create and maintain websites that are successful in supporting the interaction and communication of the organization with their users. It is also necessary to assess factors that affect the success of their websites. The Academic domain is one of the domains where the use of websites has augmented in recent years. This publication is the result of a Thesis project that focused on designing a framework for evaluating websites in academic domain from students' perspective. The evaluation framework bases its ground on one of the key definitions of software qualitysatisfaction of users and website quality characteristics identified as necessary for academic websites. A sample testing of the website was done, which showed the success of the framework. The framework can be used as it is for evaluating academic websites, but future work to improve its usefullness is necessary, which includes designing a small application.
