Product Description Jeremy Simcha Garber, the former Poetry Editor of the Reconstructionist magazine has written that: 'Although he writes in English,...Guberman seems in many ways to be a Hebrew or Yiddish poet. He is unselfconsciously familiar with broad aspects of Jewish literature, rituals and history which inform his felicitous imagery....Guberman writes lyrical love poems with a bittersweet Jewish taste. Unlike many American Jewish poets, his concerns extend beyond the narrowly religious, political or sentimental.' Review Prof. Norman Simms (Univ. of Waikato, New Zealand retired, author ofmany interesting titles)recently wrote about 'A History of Interruptions' that '...there are some wonderful pieces in there, ones I would love to have written myself, for their clarity, textures and wisdom; and then that I also enjoy the layout, the photographs, and the words around the verse. I keep dipping into your poems, which are so rich and deep with significance. It is a book that deserves to be read by many and also deeply many times.' About the Author Jayseth Guberman's poetry has been published in the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Europe and Israel. His writings have appeared in Romanian, Dutch and Italian translation. He is listed in The Directory of American Poets & Fiction Writers, Who's Who in America and The International Who's Who in Poetry. Guberman received his MA in Middle East Studies from NYU and works in financial services. He resides in New England with his wife and daughter. 'A History of Interruptions' is his first collection.
