When The Island Nations Of Indonesia Regained Independence From The Dutch As A Colony, De Thouars Was Forced To Leave His Country Of Birth And Moved To Holland As A Dutch Citizen. His Martial Training Flourished While He Studied European Fencing In Belgium. Later, His Martial Studies Evolved Under Guidance Of The Very Best Masters In The United States After His Arrival In May Of 1960, Where He Has Lived Since.
