I’m a huge fan of the series, but I found 'A Morning for Flamingos' a little disappointing. The plot seemed a bit convoluted this time around. Still, the writing is top-notch, as always!

Great Characters, Not Enough Action
I loved the character development in this book, especially Dave Robicheaux’s backstory. However, I was hoping for a bit more action and suspense compared to other titles in the series.

Masterful Writing!
James Lee Burke never disappoints! 'A Morning for Flamingos' is beautifully written, with rich descriptions and complex characters. I read it in just a couple of days—couldn't get enough!

Perfect for Mystery Lovers!
As a longtime fan of James Lee Burke, I really enjoyed this installment. The way he describes Louisiana is just magical, and the plot had enough suspense to keep me hooked!

Solid Read but a Bit Slow
This book had some fantastic moments, but I felt like it dragged in certain parts. Dave Robicheaux is a strong lead, and the New Orleans backdrop is beautifully described. Just wish it moved a bit faster.
