The book explores each step using the journey of a man who was born in a middleclass home with trappings of success, graduated from the Naval Academy, traveled the world as a Naval Officer and was seemingly successful in his own right, yet a man who was spiritually lost. Through the use of the steps this man found a personal relationship with Christ was healed and overcame divorce, alcoholism and loss of career, and an ego that often got in his way. A Personal Walk with Christ is a simple method of utilizing 10 principles to establish a relationship with Christ. Developing a relationship with Christ comes from knowing what God's Vision is for your life, believing in him, gaining knowledge of the Word of God to guide your steps, obtaining confidence from the Word and the ability to focus on Christ, while energetically and enthusiastically living a life pleasing to Christ. As a Christian, speaking to and hearing Christ is the cornerstone of developing a relationship with him and ultimately striving to be and act in a manner that emulates Christ's love for each of us.
