This revised edition includes ninetyfive texts covering the period from 750 B.C. through the end of the Peloponnesian War in 404 B.C. A new addenda and concordance bring the book completely up to date.

I bought this book as a reference for my ancient history class, and it's really useful! The dual language format is perfect for learning Greek. However, the print could be clearer, as some inscriptions are a bit hard to read. But overall, it's a solid resource for anyone studying this period.

Intriguing Collection of Inscriptions
This book is a fascinating read for anyone interested in ancient Greek history. The bilingual format, with Greek and English side by side, makes it super easy to follow along. I found the inscriptions insightful, especially for my history studies. Definitely a great addition to my bookshelf!

Packaging issue upon arrival
The content is great, but I was disappointed with the way the book arrived. The corners were bent, and the cover had a few scuff marks. The inscriptions themselves are interesting, but it was hard to focus on them with the damage. I hope the next copy I get isn't like this!

Good but lacks some context
While I appreciate the collection of inscriptions, I feel like the book could use a bit more background information for each piece. The Greek and English translations are helpful, but I was hoping for additional context to enhance my understanding. Still, it's a decent read if you're already familiar with the subject.
