Product Description A SIGHT TO BEHOLD Blinded by dense cataracts or raging glaucoma stalks the underserved Africans. A SIGHT TO BEHOLD invites you to meet these patients and witness their lives and know of their deep and abiding faith in God. For 24 weeks a year for fifteen years, Dr Hal Bryan and his wife, Greta, hauled surgical supplies to Africa, Haiti, the Philippines or Central America, to meet the ophthalmic needs of the people. Though Dr Bryan was able to restore sight to hundreds, the patients paid him back with a renewed vision of commitment and service to the less fortunate. About the Author Author, Greta Bryan, knew she had to be worth her plane ticket on each of the 15 ophthalmic missions she shared with her husband, Dr Bryan. In preparation for the first trip to Sierra Leone, she spent several days in Yakima, Washington's local hospital operating room, learning how to 'be sterile'; how to clean eye instruments, how to prep the patients' eyes, and how to measure the patients' eyes for selection of the lens to be implanted after cataract surgery. But with each mission, it was the patients' lives that caught her attention, how they were able to survive their wretched living conditions. She learned early on, that day by day, adversity upon adversity, they simply gave their lives to their Papa God and walked on.
By changing our most important processes and
products, we have already made a big leap forward. This ranges from the
increased use of more sustainable fibers to the use of more
environmentally friendly printing processes to the development of
efficient waste management in our value chain.
