I bought this thinking it would be more of an action-packed story, but it's really more of a family saga. That said, I appreciated the depth of the characters and the exploration of motherhood. Just wasn't quite what I was hoping for, hence the lower rating.

A must-read for every family
I picked up 'My Mother: The Marvelous Mrs. Marilyn A. Underwood' after hearing so many great things. The writing really resonates with the heart and soul of family dynamics. It's a beautiful portrayal of motherhood that I think everyone can relate to, regardless of your background. So glad I bought this!

Interesting but a bit slow
This book has some really touching moments about family and life lessons. However, I felt some parts dragged a bit. I enjoyed the character insights but wish it was paced a little better. It's a nice read for those looking to reflect on their own family histories.

Very relatable and heartfelt
As a daughter, I found 'My Mother' to be an emotional rollercoaster. Marilyn Underwood has a way of making you think about your own relationships with your parents. I couldn't put it down! Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a heartfelt story.
