In neither of these two cases were the home conditions in any sense involved in the difficulty with the law which came much later in life. As a whole, the home conditions of the bulk of our cases are represented by such homes as those of Alice,B and Sarah S, i.e., (1) cases where the home has been poor, and where only a child of unusual initiative would reach out beyond what the home had offered her, and (2) cases where the home was sufficiently good so that there seemed a fair chance for the child to develop into a good instead of an antisocial person.
