Despite Being Relegated From A Language To A Dialect, Awadhi Creativity Remained Unabated In Modern Times. Poets Wrote, And Effectively, In The Language Of Their Homes, Villages, And Awadh. Unmindful Of Whether Anyone Was Watching Them, Whether Their Work Would Be Published, Or Whether Anyone Would Ever Evaluate It, Awadhi Writers Simply Wrote. The Positive Result Is That Modern Awadhi Literature Is Not Lacking In Writers And Works. Throughout Awadh, And Even Beyond, Awadhi Writers Have Produced A Vast Body Of Literature. Whether It Is Valuable Is A Different Matter, But Awadhi Creative Efforts, Amidst The Many Negatives, Deserve To Be Appreciated. This Book Is An Effort In That Direction.
