Product Description Die Wiedervereinigung 1990 brachte eine auffllig expansive Produktion autobiografisch verfasster Texte hervor, die entweder eigene Lebensbeschreibungen waren oder fiktive Texte, die sich der autobiografischen Erzhlweise bedienten. Sie wurden vor allem von ehemaligen DDRSchriftstellern, aber keineswegs nur von ihnen verfasst. Die Arbeit analysiert die Methoden dieser IchDarstellungen umfassend und detailliert. Es wird deutlich, dass es vor allem die seit 1990 einsetzende Welle politischer Delegitimation ist, auf die Autoren ganz unterschiedlicher Provenienz mit vergleichbaren Mustern der Legitimation antworten. Die Selbstbehauptung ihrer Identitt als Schriftsteller schliet in aller Regel den endgltigen Abschied von der politischen Alternative des Sozialismus ein. Die Untersuchung bietet nicht nur einen berblick ber ein groes Textkorpus, sondern liefert auf breiter Materialgrundlage auch einen akzentuierten Beitrag zur Theorie autobiografischen Schreibens. About the Author Die Autorin: Valeska Steinig wurde 1978 in Gieen geboren und studierte Deutsche Philologie, Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft und Politikwissenschaft an der Universitt Mainz. Ihr Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt auf der Neueren Deutschen Literatur seit den 70er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts. 2006 schloss sie die Promotion ab.
