Dcadas de investigacin en audiologa, patologas en el lenguaje hablado, acstica y otras reas asociadas, han evidenciado el valor educacional que implica disponer de caractersticas acsticas ventajosas en los recintos escolares. La carencia de condiciones acsticas favorables en estos espacios produce un efecto adverso sobre la comprensin auditiva, el aprendizaje, la salud vocal de los maestros y el comportamiento general de los todos los involucrados En el presente trabajo se estudia el comportamiento acstico de las aulas de clases de las escuelas pblicas de la Ciudad Autnoma de Buenos Aires. Se consideran para ello dos documentos fundamentales: la Norma ANSI S12.602002 y la gua britnica Acoustic Design of Schools, A Design Guide.
