Diese einfachen Aussagen drcken genau das aus, was aus der Sicht vieler deutscher Frauen oftmals bei der Kommunikation mit dem anderen Geschlecht empfunden wird, nmlich Unverstndnis oder Ratlosigkeit. Tatschlich scheint es, zumindest auf den ersten oberflchlichen Blick, dass Mnner und Frauen unterschiedliche Sprachen sprechen. Doch gibt es sie wirklich, die geschlechtsspezifische Sprache oder sind das alles nur Vorurteile und Klischees? Nher betrachtet deutet alles darauf hin, dass die Mnner, zumindest in der Sprache, wichtiger zu sein scheinen als die Frauen. Denn warum heit es nicht Gretel und Hnsel; Clyde und Bonnie; Julia und Romeo; ich Jane, Du Tarzan; befrauscht Euch statt beherrscht Euch oder dam statt man? Als mir meine Freundinnen zum Geburtstag das Buch Mnner sind anders. Frauen auch von John Gray (1993) schenkten, stand fr mich fest, dass ich dieses Thema hinterfragen musste. Auch wenn dieser bekannte Buchtitel von John Gray nach Schlagwort und Vorurteil klingt, so umreit er doch wie mit einem Hieb die Grundproblematik zwischen Mnnern und Frauen, auch in der Sprache. Mnner sind anders, Frauen auch ist nicht nur die Zustandsbeschreibung unseres modernen, noch immer nicht entwirrten Beziehungsdschungels. Es ist vielmehr eine Art "Gebrauchsanweisung", die jede Frau zum richtigen Umgang mit ihrem Partner und jeder Mann zum besseren Verstndnis seiner Gefhrtin braucht. Ich wollte herausfinden, ob wir Frauen uns tatschlich so sehr von den Mnnern in der Sprache unterscheiden.
