The African Development Report 2007 is the nineteenth annual survey of economic and social progress in Africa. The Report provides comprehensive analysis of the state of the African economy, examining development policy issues affecting the economic prospects of the continent. The African Development Bank Group is a regional multilateral development finance institution the members of which are all of the 53 countries in Africa and 24 countries from Asia, Europe, North and South America. The purpose of the Bank is to further the economic development and social progress ofAfrican countries, individually and collectively. To this end, the Bank promotes the investment of public and private capital for development, primarily by providing loans and grants for projects and programs that contribute to poverty reduction and broadbased sustainable development in Africa. The nonconcessional operations of the Bank are financed from its ordinary capital resources. In addition, the Banks soft window affiliatesthe African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fundprovide concesssional financing to lowincome countries that are not able to sustain loans on marketterms.

The African Development Report 2007 is packed with valuable insights on economic trends across the continent. I found the analysis of policy issues particularly enlightening, and the data presented is very informative. It's a must-have for anyone interested in African economics.

Comprehensive Analysis of Economic Policies
This report is a treasure trove of information regarding African economies in 2007. I appreciated the comprehensive analysis of development policies. Definitely worth reading for academics and professionals in the field.

Good Resource but Somewhat Dense
This report has a lot of great information, but I found it a bit dense in places. It's definitely not a light read. Still, if you're willing to put in the effort, there's plenty of useful content about the region's development challenges.

Valuable Perspectives on Growth
I purchased this report to better understand the growth dynamics in Africa. There are some really valuable perspectives here, especially in the sections about sustainable development. It would benefit from more visual data for quick understanding, though.

Arrived Late and in Rough Shape
I was excited to dive into the African Development Report, but it arrived a week late and the cover was bent. The content looks great, but the condition it arrived in was disappointing. Packaging could have been better.
