Historisch gewachsene Urteile ber andere Menschengruppen sind eine der Grundlagen fr den modernen Alltagsrassismus. Solchen berlieferten Meinungen wird am Beispiel der franzsischen Kolonialsoldaten und afroamerikanischen GIs in dieser Studie nachgegangen. Sie bilden eine Referenzgruppe fr Afrikaner, Afroamerikaner und Afrodeutsche. Dabei stehen die Vorstellungen, die sich Deutsche seit dem DeutschFranzsischenKrieg 1870/71 von ihnen machten, im Mittelpunkt. Die entdeckten Wahrnehmungsmuster werden in sechs verschiedenen Bildern vorgestellt. Das sind Vorurteile und Feindbilder, die von der Verkindlichung, ber die Sexualisierung bis hin zur Darstellung der Kolonialsoldaten als blutrnstige Bestien reichen. Deutlich in der Unterzahl sind neutrale oder gar positive Meinungen. Bei den unterschiedlichen sozialen Schichten und religisen sowie politischen Gruppen in Deutschland fanden sich kaum Unterschiede bei den negativen Wahrnehmungen der Soldaten. Ebenso wirken die tradierten Stereotype und Vorurteile bis heute fort, haben also eine sehr hohe Konsistenz. Darum ist die Identifizierung berlieferter Wahrnehmungsmuster ein wichtiger Beitrag zur Erforschung moderner Rassismen.
