This study was conducted in 2011.To conduct the study survey method was used.Aged population becomes a problem of urban area in Bangladesh as well as a national problem.So the aim of this study is to inquire about the factors that distress the socioeconomic status of the old aged people in urban Bangladesh.Status of the aged people within the household,family member's respect to the respondents, the support they got from their family and social security system in Ward 15,16,17 of Khulna City Corporation area in 2011.A total of 120 aged persons,90 male and 30 female respondents have been interviewed through a structured interview schedule by purposive sampling technique.The living standard and social and economic activities of the aged people have been taken in to account as their socioeconomic profile.
