Professor Tschirner ist Mitautor von zwei Lehrbchern: 'Kontakte: Communicative Approach' und 'Assoziationen'. Seine Forschungsgebiete betreffen Deutsche Morphologie und Syntax, Zweitsprachenerwerb sowie Pdagogik.
