El 9 de julio de 1984 se iniciaron en San Sebastin las 'Primeras Jornadas Internacionales Juan Larrea'. Se cumpla aquel da el cuarto aniversario de la muerte del poeta en la Crdoba argentina. La coincidencia de fechas no fue voluntaria, no, al menos, efecto de una voluntad individual.Tal vez Larrea la atribuira a voluntades de otro orden. En cualquier caso, no se trat de la nica ni, quizs, de la ms importante coincidencia entre las que en aquellos das se dieron. La ms significativa, a mi entender, fue la reunin de gentes de varias generaciones y de muy diversos puntos de origen, escritores, poetas y profesores universitarios, al amor de Larrea.
