I got this book to deepen my knowledge of Alexander the Great for a project. The historical sources are well translated, and I love how it compiles different viewpoints. However, the layout could be better, as some parts felt a bit cluttered. Still, it’s an essential read for anyone interested in this era!

Not What I Expected
Honestly, I was kind of disappointed with this book. I thought it would be more engaging, but the translations felt very stiff and formal. I had hoped for something more narrative-driven. It’s okay for academic purposes, but I wouldn’t recommend it for casual reading.

Great for History Buffs
I picked up 'Alexander the Great: Historical Sources in Translation' for my college course on ancient history. The translations are accurate and make it easy to understand the context. I especially appreciate how it includes various sources, giving multiple perspectives on Alexander’s life. If you're into history, this is a solid read!
