This Ninth Edition of Algebra and Trigonometry with Analytic Geometry has been improved in three important ways. First, discussions have been rewritten to enable students to more easily understand the mathematical concepts presented. Second, exercises have been added that require students to estimate, approximate, interpret a result, write a summary, create a model, explore, or find a generalization. Third, graphing calculators have been incorporated to a greater extent through the addition of examples and exercises as well as the inclusion of a crossreferenced appendix on the use of the TI82/83. All of this has been accomplished without compromising the mathematical integrity that is the hallmark of this text.

This textbook covers a lot of ground and is packed with useful material, but sometimes it feels a bit overwhelming. Some chapters could use more practice problems. Still, I appreciate the comprehensive approach to algebra and trigonometry!

Well-structured but not always engaging
While the 'Algebra and Trigonometry with Analytic Geometry' book is well-structured, I found some sections to be quite dry. It does cover the essentials! Just wish it had more engaging examples to keep my interest up.

A must-have for precalculus!
This book is essential for anyone taking precalculus. The chapters on analytic geometry are particularly useful. I’ve used it for both self-study and my classes, and it’s proven to be a reliable reference. Great investment!
