Die dadurch entstehende Zunahme der Transaktionsanzahl bei gleichzeitig sinkenden Transaktionsvolumen pro Transaktion fhren zu allgemein geringeren Margen und einem stetig steigenden Kostendruck. Dies, sowie strengere Regulierungen zur Erhhung der Transparenz der Finanzgeschfte, sind Grnde fr das wachsende Interesse an den entstehenden Transaktionskosten. Welche Kosten entstehen bei der Ausfhrung einer Transaktion, und wo entstehen diese? Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit ist es somit, neben einem kurzen Einblick in das elektronische Handelsgeschft, die auftretenden Transaktionskosten sowie deren Komponenten bei der Durchfhrung eines elektronischen Handelgeschfts zu identifizieren und deren Wichtigkeit zu verstehen. Darber hinaus werden die verschiedenen Kostenkomponenten kategorisiert und mit Hilfe des Implementation Shortfalls aufgezeigt, wo und zu welchem Zeitpunkt diese Kosten entstehen, um letztendlich die Effizienz des aufgefhrten Handels auch hinsichtlich der entstehenden Transaktionskosten bewerten zu knnen. Dabei dient die Arbeit Understanding Transaction Cost Components" von Robert Kissell (JPMorgan Chase), welche 2006 im Journal of Trading erschienen ist, als Grundlage fr die vorliegende Arbeit.
