El primero de ellos intenta hacer una reconstruccin del concepto del Derecho con base en dos operaciones intelectuales que el autor denomina interiorizaciones semnticas en los enunciados jurdicos de los elementos presentes en el modelo del mandato. Los resultados obtenidos sern la base doctrinal de todos los temas tratados en los ensayos subsiguientes. Por ello, concibe a la derogacin y la anulacin de normas como modalidades del mbito temporal de las normas, rechazando la tesis que la anulacin sea una sancin. Esto se encuentra en conexin sistemtica con el problema moderno de la derrotabilidad de las normas y con el sentido del orden jurdico. Adems, se ofrece un concepto muy novedoso sobre los derechos fundamentales y utilizando el esquema de formacin de conceptos de Alf Ross y de los conceptos disposicionales o intermediarios, elabora el concepto de persona. Finalmente, propone una nueva concepcin de la democracia , como un mtodo social de medicin de la fuerza de los grupos en una sociedad, con el objeto de evitar la confrontacin de una lucha real.
