Als Folge erlebt die Erde eine Bevlkerungsexplosion ungeahnten Ausmaes. Neben dem Bau von unterirdischen Mondstdten sieht sich eine Weltorganisation gentigt, nach besiedelbaren Planeten bei den nchsten Sternen, bei alpha Centauri, zu suchen. Der Roman erinnert an die Zukunftsromane von Hans Dominick und Jules Verne und enthlt ein umfangreiches Glossar ber den Forschungsstand relevanter Gebiete.About the AuthorIch glaubte, eher ein schlechter als ein durchschnittlicher Schler zu sein. Da wurde ich als 10Jhriger wegen eines Aufsatzes belobigt, und meine Leistungen besserten sich im Fach Deutsch. Auch glaubte ich, fr Mathematik und Naturwissenschaften nicht besonders begabt zu sein. Da unterrichtete mich ein Lehrer, der mir Freude und Spa an diesen Fchern vermittelte. Also studierte ich Physik an der Universitt in Frankfurt, wirkte mit in deren Studiobhne, grndete eine Privatschule, in der auf das Abitur vorbereitet wurde, und leitete zwei Volkshochschulen in Hessen. Daher bin ich berzeugt, dass auch Sie, verehrter Leser, und Sie, geschtzte Leserin, fhig sind, Freude auch an den angeblich so trockenen Naturwissenschaften zu gewinnen.
