About the Author Als Sohn indischer Eltern einer Augenrztin und eines Apothekers in Deutschland geboren, studierte Cyrus Poonawalla zunchst Medizin. Doch blieben allzu viele Fragen, die der junge Student hatte, unbeantwortet. Auf der Suche nach Antworten verlie er den Pfad der universitren Medizin und wandte er sich anderen medizinischen Systemen zu. Im Jahre 1994 machte er sich als Heilpraktiker selbststndig. In seiner Arbeit verbindet er erfolgreich sein universitres Wissen und das Wissen, welches ihm "alternative" Denkweisen vermitteln. Dabei hat er das Interesse an Augenleiden, das er von seiner Mutter bernommen hat, nie verloren.
