Es ist in den kommenden Jahrzehnten weiterhin mit einem sinkenden Rentenniveau zu rechen. Im Gegenzug dazu steigt der steuerpflichtige Teil der Rente immer mehr an. Als Ausweg wird die private Vorsorge empfohlen. Dabei ist nach der Information der deutschen Rentenversicherung die Altersvorsorge ber den Arbeitgeber (AG) fr eine Vielzahl von Arbeitnehmer (AN) eine entsprechende Alternative. Die vorliegende Arbeit geht hauptschlich nur auf den Teil der privaten Altersvorsorge im betrieblichen Kontext ein. Im Abschnitt 2 wird die betriebliche Altersvorsorge (bAV) zur Abgrenzung der Arbeit in die mglichen Altersvorsorgearten eingeordnet. Obwohl das Thema private Altersvorsorge zunehmend in der ffentlichkeit mehr Aufmerksamkeit gewinnt, gilt dies jedoch nicht automatisch auch fr die bAV. Abschnitt 3 dient daher zur Darstellung der berwiegenden Sichtweise auf die bAV, um herauszustreichen, weshalb der bAV in Zukunft mehr Bedeutung beigemessen werden muss. Gesetzliche Regelungen zur bAV sind in dem Betriebsrentengesetz (BetrAVG), Altersvermgensgesetz (AVmG), Alterseinknftegesetz (AltEinkG), Sozialgesetzbuch Drittes Buch (SGB III), Sozialgesetzbuch Viertes Buch (SGB IV), Sozialversicherungsentgeltverordnung (SvEV) und Einkommensteuergesetz (EStG) zu finden. Wobei das BetrAVG die wichtigste Quelle darstellt, was auch im Rahmen der Literaturrecherche besttig werden konnte. Im Zusammenhang mit der Entgeltumwandlung sind noch die Steuer und Sozialversicherungsbefreiung fr die Beitrge zur bAV zu nennen. Bekannt ist
