Product Description 'Amanda's Poor SelfImage' is an enchanting, illuminating story which will educate and inspire readers of all ages and cultures. This book is very thoughtprovoking. It is an imaginative and entertaining tale. Additionally, the artwork is beautiful and depictive. Every home should have a copy of 'Amanda's Poor SelfImage' in their home library. Review I would like to give thanks to Geraldine Shaheed for sharing her book about selfesteem with my secondgrade class. Selfesteem is a vital part of our lives. Young children are not at a stage in their lives where they are able to understand how important this word is to their lives. This book expresses and demonstrates selfesteem so that younger children can relate to the meaning of the word as well as understanding the word. This story opened the eyes of many children because some of them have never heard of selfesteem or self image. Thanks. Ms. Lucrettia Stuart, Chapel Hill Elementary, 19971998 Second Grade Class About the Author Geraldine Shaheed enjoys teaching young people about selfawareness. Shaheed feels that every individual has a contribution to make in creating a harmonious society. Mrs. Shaheed says, 'I always want to do my part, and fulfillthe mission that God has inspired in me.' Behind this grandmonther's cheerful and youthful face lies wisdom and knowledge that has been gathered through decades of experience.
