Die Diplomarbeit wurde mit der Zielsetzung verfasst, alle verfgbaren Informationen zur noch wissenschaftlich weitgehend unstrukturierten Mediagattung der Ambient Medien zusammenzutragen, diese systematisch aufzubereiten, und so eine sinnvolle Wissensbasis fr deren zuknftigen Einsatz zu schaffen. Im weiteren Verlauf der Arbeit soll der Prozess der Ambient Media Planung nher untersucht werden. Hierfr wird der Planungsprozess zunchst in einzelne Schritte zerlegt und analysiert. Zudem soll festgestellt werden von welchen beteiligten Instanzen die einzelnen Aufgabenfelder gngigerweise abgedeckt werden und welche unterschiedlichen Mglichkeiten bestehen, eine Ambient Media Kampagne zu realisieren. Zum Abschluss dieser Untersuchung soll aus den generierten Informationen ein systematisches Ablaufschema des Planungsprozesses erarbeitet werden. Primres Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es neue Erkenntnisse ber die Bewertbarkeit von Ambient Medien zu gewinnen. Hierbei soll zunchst die Eignung der gngigen Mediakennzahlen im Mittelpunkt stehen. Nach einer wissenschaftlichen Untersuchung der Kennzahlen sollen die hieraus erwachsenen Erkenntnisse anhand einer Befragung berprft werden, um abschlieend Aussagen ber deren Eignung zur Bewertung von Ambient Medien treffen zu knnen. Anhand der dabei gewonnenen Erkenntnisse soll zudem nach einem neuen Ansatz gesucht werden, um die Bewertbarkeit von Ambient Medien zuknftig zu verbessern. Die Beantwortung der Frage, ob und inwiefern eine Bewertbarkeit der Medienleistung von Ambient Medien gegeben ist und wie eine Solche gegebenenfalls realisiert werden kann, bildet somit die zentrale Fragestellung dieser Arbeit. Mit der Untersuchung dieser Thematik soll dazu beigetragen werden, eine Quantifizierung der Medialeistung eines uerst kreativen und effizienten Medienzweiges zuknftig zu ermglichen.
