Un poblado del trpico hmedo mexicano donde todas las familias hasta la dcada de 1980 del siglo XX se dedicaron a la siembra, cultivo y secado del cacao, generando alrededor de este grano una estructura social y econmica que les permiti mantener un equilibrio con la naturaleza, la cual sufre una paulatina degradacin a partir de la llegada de Petrleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) por la emisin de gases en la atmsfera y por los aceites que se tiran en los ros y en los suelos donde se localiza, as mismo la empresa modifica costumbres, valores, creencias y tradiciones de los pobladores lo que impacta en cambios sociales y econmicos de la generacin de los 1980s. Hoy el cacao sufre una grave crisis no solo biolgica sino tambin social y cultural.
