In 2004, this book was part of Timothy Rexford Wilson's independent writein campaign for president. It is the story of his 2002 hike of the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada and how his interactions with people along the way helped him develop much of the policy platform he proposed. The platform outlined not just a change, but a complete transformation of American policy from policies based on greed and fear to those based on love.
