This research project is intended to promote fresh fruit marketing in Uganda as it exposes the challenges chain actors meet along various channels of distribution. It discusses various findings and points out strategies which be can taken to improve fruit marketing. Avocado marketing in Uganda has not been given too much attention and most of the farm produce is sold at farm level and in local market. This has hampered economic prosperity of the rural poor. This project will help people in further research in promoting avocado farming and marketing. It will also assist development stakeholders in designing and implementing policies for agriculture marketing promotion to attain economic prosperity of the various chain actors as well as increasing foreign revenue for the country.
