Dementsprechend ist auch der Bedarf an bersetzungen in der Medienbranche enorm gestiegen. Synchronisation und Untertitelung sind heutzutage die gelufigen Formen der Filmbersetzung. Deren Gebrauch unterscheidet sich von Land zu Land. In Deutschland, sowie in Spanien, Italien und Frankreich, werden fremdsprachige Filme und Filmserien in der Regel synchronisiert. Im Mittelpunkt der vorliegenden Arbeit steht eine kontrastive bersetzungsanalyse eines audiovisuellen Textes. Den Korpus der Analyse bildet der Film des spanischen Kultregisseurs Pedro Almodvar "Todo sobre mi madre" aus dem Jahre 1999. Die spanischsprachige Originalversion des Films stellt den Ausgangstext (Transferendum) und die deutschsprachige Synchronversion den Zieltext (Translat) dar. Die Zielsetzung der Analyse ist die Erforschung des Verhltnisses zwischen dem Original und dem finalen Produkt der bersetzung in Bezug auf die quivalente Darstellung des sprachlichen Codes im Sinne des bersetzungstheoretischen quivalenzbegriffes. Ob die Synchronisation als translatorische Methode einen Film in der Zielsprache quivalent wiedergeben kann, d.h. ob die Botschaft, Qualitt und Wirkung des Originals in der Zielversion zum Ausdruck kommen kann, wird die zentrale Fragestellung dieser Untersuchung sein. Das Augenmerk wird auf die bersetzung verschiedener Varietten (Dialekte, Soziolekte, etc.), lexikalischer Konstruktionen (wie Metapher, Wortspiele etc.) sowie Bezeichnungen fr kulturspezifische Phnomene gerichtet.
