Product Description Im Handeln und Sprechen der Hauptfiguren frhneuhochdeutscher Prosaromane kreuzen sich zum Teil hchst widersprchliche Verhaltensweisen. Dies wurde in der Forschung bislang zwar konstatiert, jedoch noch nicht zusammenhngend untersucht. Als methodischer Ansatz hierfr wurden die Zivilisationstheorie von Norbert Elias und die Konzepte von Gerhard Oestreich ber Sozialregulierung und disziplinierung gewhlt; die auf Elias Studien aufbauende Literaturtheorie Reiner Wilds soll die interpretatorische Verbindung zwischen innerliterarischen Phnomenen und gesellschaftlichpolitischen Entwicklungen untersttzen. In diesem Kontext erklrt sich die Eigenart der Romane aus dem Zusammenwirken vor allem der didaktischen und der entlastenden Funktion von Literatur im Proze der Zivilisation. Unter anderem werden folgende Prosaromane behandelt: Hans Mairs Buch von Troja und Buch von Troja I, Huge Scheppel / Hug Schapler von Elisabeth von NassauSaarbrcken, Johann Hartliebs Alexander, Pontus und Sidonia (Fassung A und B), die Melusine des Thring von Ringoltingen, Heinrich Steinhwels Appolonius von Tyrus und Valentin und Namelos. About the Author Der Autor: Markus Kohlmeier studierte von 1986 an Germanistik, Politikwissenschaft und Pdagogik an der Universitt Heidelberg. 1994 legte er das 1. Staatsexamen ab. Nach dem Promotionsstudium folgte von 1997 bis 1999 das Referendariat. Seit September 1999 unterrichtet er als Studienrat die Fcher Deutsch und Gemeinschaftskunde.
