Obwohl vor allem Schillers Dramen zur Weltliteratur gehren, erlangte er zugleich ansehnlichen Ruhm mit einer Vielzahl theoretischer Schriften. Von daher ist das Werk "ber den Grund des Vergngens an Tragischen Gegenstnden" Thema der vorliegenden Analyse. Die Abhandlung ber das sthetische in der Tragdie ist insofern von betrchtlichem Interesse, da durch sie eine kennzeichnende Weltanschauung zum Vorschein kommt. Welche fr die damalige Zeit typischen Begrifflichkeiten und Darstellungsfragen aufgegriffen werden und inwiefern diese Themenbereiche in einem ethisch aufklrenden Kontext zu betrachten sind, wird ferner verdeutlicht. Somit kann sich nun der Leser dieser Arbeit auf einen sthetischen Diskurs einlassen, um Schillers anregende berlegungen auch tatschlich nachzuvollziehen.
