He has worked as a commercial aviator for airlines and air freight companies; is a flight instructor and licensed A&P mechanic; has built, restored, and flown vintage aircraft; and owns a successful airport in North Texas, which is home to over 500 general aviation aircraft. His most rewarding accomplishment to date, however, is flying the remarkable Hurricane Katrina and Rita relief missions with copilot Denny Ghiringhellithe story of Angel Flight 44.
